SdM Chartered Professional Accountants Inc. (, collaborating member of Andersen Global, is looking for a Manager in business development interested by a professional experience in a growing firm.


Job description


Reporting to the Partners of the firm, the business development professional will act as an internal sales coordinator for the firm and will manage accounts to ensure all business development activities are organized and completed in a timely and efficient manner. The Manager allows the tax team to focus on value-added business activities while coordinating everything behind the scene.


The chosen candidate will possess an excellent aptitude for communication, be able to work independently as well as in a team. He possesses a high level of critical judgment, have an analytical spirit and possesses excellent interpersonal skills.


Responsibilities and tasks


  • Coordinate business development activities such as identification and communication with new clients.

  • Coordinate business development activities such as client events, concerts/sports ticket allocation.

  • Prepare and present proposals for new clients or new mandates.

  • Actively review industries and sectors news or information sources and share relevant information with the partners of the firm.

  • Share industry knowledge and identify business opportunities and prepare client presentations.

  • Work with national marketing team to leverage targeted thought leadership, events and publications.

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned depending on the needs of the firm.



  • Bilingualism a must, both written and spoken (French and English).

  • Team spirit, organization skills, project management experience in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

  • Judgment and autonomy.

  • A successful track record in providing effective sales support, and understanding and driving client value propositions.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a corporate or professional services firm environment. Experience in sales or marketing with internal and external clients is desirable.

  • University or college graduate with a desire to pursue a career in sales, account management, marketing or pursuit management is preferred.

  • A team player with a "whatever it takes" attitude.

  • Work well both independently and in a team environment.

  • Flexibility and the demonstrated ability to prioritize activities - be proactive with minimal instruction and stay focused in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.

  • A high degree of tact, diplomacy and professionalism.

  • Strong sense of initiative, continuously striving to acquire and develop related business knowledge.

  • Strong technical skills in MS Office, particularly in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
